It worked for me – Just keep the manual in a safe place
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This computer works for me. I installed it as directed in the instructions, and had no worries. Other users complained about not being able to toggle between km / miles–the only way I know is there’s a step in the setup process that I’ll explain it at the end, in case you’re interested. The computer has a couple of limitations. The elapsed time function (I call it “time in the saddle”) resets after 10 hours–It’s supposed to be a trip meter, but I never reset it. Also, once I hit 351.66 miles on the trip odometer, it quit logging anything. The speedometer display continued to work, but mileage and time-in-the-saddle both stopped accruing. I pressed both buttons at once to reset the computer, and now it works fine again. Fortunately, I found the manual, because when you reset the computer, or change the battery it needs to know the size of the tire. But you need to check a table in the instructions, in order to know how to translate the tire diameter into a 4-digit number.

How to switch from km to miles or vice versa:

If you want to keep your odometer progress, before you reset the computer, write down the odometer reading. Then press both buttons at the same time to do a factory reset.

During the setup process, there is a step where the only thing showing on the screen will be either the label km or m. Pressing the right button will toggle between them. Press the Left button to move on to the next parameter. To re-enter your odometer progress, first you need to translate it. If you have km and you want miles, then multiply your number by .62. That will be your distance traveled in miles. If you’re going from miles to km, divide by 0.62. After you have finished your set-up process, flip through your display options (right button) until you get to the odometer, then press and hold the left button until the reading starts flashing. You should be able to figure out how to use the buttons to set your odometer reading. You can use the same method to set the clock, and maybe some of the other settings.

If you lost your manual for this product, and need to know your Tire Size Code, I can help. Contact me at kidmocha dot com. – Michael

Pyramid 13 Function Wireless Dual Display Cyclocomputer

This product works very poorly. Frequently, the computer readout is garbage. The instructions say to reinstall the battery when this happens. It doesn’t help. The garbage returns. I replaced the provided baterries with brand new ones to no avail. It does not take bumps or jarring to cause the computer to revert to garbage. Personally, I think Pyramid should replace my computer. The other reviews confirm this is a frequent and pervasive problem. It doesn’t help that it’s now selling $20 less than last month. I bought from Bikeworld USA.

Unusable in areas with lots of RF
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Since this speedometer can’t discriminate between the RF pulses it’s supposed to be reading and other RF noise, it is completely useless in many areas including most of Cambridge MA where I live. In some areas it pegs itself at 99mph and in other areas it just adds random amounts (it’s sensing fewer pulses but still, these aren’t from me and the speedometer is just as worthless then). It’s only in some completely residential areas where it works as advertised. I’ve not gone to less densely built up areas to try to determine what types of things causes problems but setting the speedometer near my notebook computer causes it to show the same problems.

it is ok, but it does give wrong speed sometime,
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
this little thing is cute. it does give wrong speed sometime, maybe twice a month, so not so bad. sometime it tell me that I’m going 32 to 75 MPH which is crazy. it can very trick to make the installation work. the wireless will work no more than 3 feets

    Sucktacular
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I was totally dismayed with this product, nowhere in the manual did it indicate how to switch it from Kilometers to Miles even though it was obvious that it could somehow be changed.

No sir, I didn’t like it.

Does what it is supposed to.

I bought this for my wife to use on her bike that she uses inside (on a bike mount)and outside. Therefore, I was hoping to be able to install the sensor on the back tire since the front tire is stationary when she is inside. However, the wireless range is not far enough to reach if the sensor is on the back tire.

The item seems to be a good item, and a good price if you don’t need to install it on the back tire. It was very easy to install and set up.
