VDO was founded in 1929 and the name stands for Vereinigte DEUTA Ota.
The company makes several products like Car navigation, car multimedia, vehical parts and of course bicycle computers.
In 1992 they were the first producer in the world to launch a wireless cycle computer. It was the VDO Aero 8.
They had a long history in producing cycle meters, speedometers and computers as the first Mychanical cycle speedometer from their company dates back all the way to 1938.
